How Boattripo works
- 1
Pick a city
Each one has a page that answers which boat trip to take there.
- 2
Compare on the same fields
Boat, pier, length, food, cancellation and price, in the same order for every cruise.
- 3
Book on Civitatis
The button opens the booking page with dates and today's price.
Every cruise looks the same in the listing
In any city with a river or a canal there are dozens of boat trips with near-identical photos. What separates them is rarely on the first screen: whether the boat is open or glazed, where it leaves from, how long you are actually on the water, and whether "dinner" means three courses at a table or a tray.
Get it wrong and you pay for a meal you did not want, or spend an hour behind a fogged window. Boattripo lines the cruises up with the same fields so the difference is visible before you pay.
The boat sheet
Every cruise on the site gets the same sheet. Eight fields, always in this order, each with its source and the date we checked it.
- TypeSightseeing, sunset, drinks, lunch or dinner.
- DurationTime on the water, not time in the queue.
- Boarding pointThe pier, and what it is next to.
- Open or coveredDeck, glass roof or closed cabin.
- CommentaryLive guide or audio, and in which languages.
- What is includedDrinks, courses, tickets. And what is not.
- CancellationHow late you can change your mind.
- Who it suitsAnd who should pick a different one.

Where the information comes from
Duration, boarding point, languages, inclusions and cancellation terms come from the Civitatis catalogue, which lists them for every activity. Boat type and pier details are checked against the operator's own website when it says so.
Booking and payment happen on Civitatis, at the price it shows everyone. We recommend the cheapest cruise whenever it is the right one for you.
Common questions
Is Boattripo a booking site?
No. We compare boat trips and link to Civitatis, where the booking and payment happen. We do not sell tickets or hold your booking.
Do I pay more if I book through your links?
No. The price is the one Civitatis shows to everyone.
How current are prices and ratings?
Every boat sheet shows the date it was last checked. Prices are starting prices on that date and change with season and departure time, so confirm on the booking page.
Which cruise is best if I only have an hour?
In most cities, the plain one-hour sightseeing cruise. It covers the main stretch of water, costs the least and leaves often. Each city page says when that rule does not hold.
Are dinner cruises worth it?
Sometimes. They make sense when you want the meal and the evening as much as the views. If sightseeing is the point, a short cruise and dinner on land usually cost less and show you more. Each city has a guide on exactly this.
