How we compare

The same eight fields for every cruise

Type, duration, boarding point, open or covered boat, commentary and languages, what is included, cancellation, and who it suits. If two cruises differ in a way that matters, it shows up in one of those.

Sources

Duration, boarding address, guide languages, inclusions, cancellation terms, starting price, rating and number of reviews come from the Civitatis catalogue, which lists them for every activity.

Boat type and the details of the pier come from the operator's official website whenever the operator states them. When neither the listing nor the operator says which boat you get, the sheet says "not stated" instead of guessing.

Dates

Every sheet carries the date it was last checked. Prices are the lowest price shown on that date; they move with season, day of the week and departure time. Ratings are the catalogue's own, out of 10.

Recommendations

"Who it suits" and "Pick something else if" are our reading of the facts on the sheet. They are opinions and written as such. The cruise finder scores each cruise against your three answers and nothing else.

Corrections

Operators change piers and timetables. If something on a sheet no longer matches the booking page, the booking page wins, and we would like to hear about it at contact@boattripo.com.
