The cruises compared here
The two listings that mention Bellagio are very different products. One is a guided group day trip that also goes to Switzerland. The other is a boat you drive yourself.
Prices and ratings below were checked on 29 October 2026 and can change.
1The day trip
The group meets at Piazza Cavour in Como and crosses the lake by boat to Bellagio, where you get two hours of free time. The boat then continues to Cadenabbia, a resort the listing says was a summer retreat of Queen Victoria and Tsar Nicholas II.
From Cadenabbia a bus takes the group into Switzerland for about an hour of free time in Lugano, and then back to Como. The whole outing lasts 8 hours.
2The charter
The charter lasts 2, 3 or 4 hours and costs from € 200 per boat, with fuel at € 50 extra. The listing says that during the trip you can swim, look at the villas and stop in places such as Bellagio, but it gives no route or travel time, so you are the one who has to judge whether Bellagio fits in the hours you booked.
Licence-free does not mean unsupervised: you get a short briefing on safe use of the boat before you leave.
3Documents, reviews and cancellation
The day trip enters Switzerland, so the listing asks for an original ID: an ID card or passport for citizens of the EU, Great Britain, Norway and Iceland, a passport for everyone else. Photos or copies are not accepted.
The day trip is rated 8.6 from 89 reviews and the charter 8.0 from 20. Both offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
