The cruises compared here
The four listings are not alternatives to each other so much as answers to where you are. Two of them begin on Capri, one in Sorrento and one in Naples. The mistake to avoid is booking a one-hour tour from Marina Grande and expecting it to include the crossing.
This guide compares what you pay and what you get for it, using the Civitatis listings checked on 29 October 2026.
1The four listings side by side
The Marina Grande boat tour lasts one hour and costs from €25. The gozzo ride lasts two hours and costs from €50. The Sorrento day trip lasts nine hours and costs from €85, and the Naples day trip lasts about 9.5 hours and costs from €89.
Only the day trips include getting to the island. The two Capri-based tours start and end at the port or in town, so you would need to pay for the ferry separately.
2What the day trips add, and what they cost
The Naples trip includes a minibus to Torre del Greco, about an hour on the boat to Capri, a loop around the island and four free hours ashore. You pay a €5 docking fee in cash on the day.
The Sorrento trip gives you five free hours on the island and puts the cruise around Capri at the end. It also has a €5 boarding fee, and it includes a limoncello tasting.
3Scores and reviews
The Naples trip has 1,141 reviews and a score of 7.8. The Sorrento trip has 767 reviews and scores 8.1, and the one-hour boat tour has 512 reviews and 8. The gozzo ride scores 8.1, but from only 45 reviews.
On the evidence of these numbers, the Sorrento day trip is the better-liked of the two day trips, while the Naples one is the one more people have booked.
4Which one to pick
Staying in Naples: book the Naples day trip. Staying in Sorrento: book the Sorrento day trip. Already on Capri: the one-hour tour for the quick version, the gozzo ride if you want to swim and snorkel.
If you need a wheelchair-accessible boat, the gozzo ride is the only one of the four that the listing marks as accessible.
