1What each cruise does
The Fjord Sightseeing Cruise takes about 2 hours on a traditional Norwegian boat past the Opera House, Akershus Fortress, the City Hall, the Bygdøy peninsula, the Dyna Lighthouse and the islands of Lindøya and Hovedøya. The electric boat takes 2 hours too, with panoramic windows and an outdoor deck, past the Munch Museum and around Hovedøya, with a short stop at Bygdøy.
The summer cruise lasts about 3 hours on a wooden boat, with a prawn buffet. The wooden boat cruise is 50 minutes, with views of the port, the hills and Akershus Fortress.
2Price, food and cancellation
Prices start at €29.06 for the wooden boat, €41.70 for the standard cruise, €48.41 for the electric boat and €71.35 for the summer cruise. Only the summer cruise includes food, the prawn buffet; drinks cost extra. On the standard cruise, food, drinks and museum tickets are not included.
The standard and summer cruises cancel free up to 3 days before, the wooden boat up to 24 hours. The electric boat listing says you are refunded 100% if you cancel, with no cut-off time, so check the booking page.
3Which one to book
Book the standard cruise if you want the most proven option and a wheelchair accessible boat. Book the electric boat for large windows and a quieter ride. Book the summer cruise for an evening with food; it is sold as a summer cruise.
Book the wooden boat when you have under an hour or a smaller budget. In winter the standard cruise changes: you can take the first boat at 10:30 and get off at Bygdøy for the museums. Confirm times on the booking page.
