The cruises compared here
The Saona catamaran and the Catalina catamaran cost the same, so the choice comes down to what is in the price and how long you want to be out. Both are full days with hotel pickup and a bus or minibus before the boat.
Starting prices are per adult, checked on 13 October 2026. Civitatis describes neither boat.
1What each day includes
Saona lists a minibus, a catamaran and a motorboat, buffet lunch and an open bar with rum, beer and soft drinks. It names no snorkel equipment.
Catalina lists a bus or minibus and a catamaran, snorkel equipment, admission to Cotubanamá National Park, entertainment on board, and buffet lunch with drinks.
2Length, pickup and reviews
Saona lasts 9 hours and Catalina 10. Catalina pickup starts at 7:00 am, and Saona pickup runs between 7:00 and 9:15 am.
Saona is rated 7.9 from 2,300 reviews and Catalina 7.7 from 240. Both cancel free up to 24 hours before, with no refund after that.
3How to choose
Choose Catalina if you want to snorkel without renting anything and can spend 10 hours. Choose Saona if you prefer the open bar, a shorter day and the larger review base.
If you would rather change the Saona trip itself, the beach tour and the Chavón version are compared in the Saona guide.
