The cruise to check first
These are full-day excursions: you ride a minibus or bus first and only then board the boat. Civitatis does not name the departure port for any of the four, so this page sticks to what each listing says about pickup.
The rules differ from trip to trip, mostly in the time window and in which hotels get an exception. The sections below go through them.
1Saona catamaran and Catalina: pickup times
For the Saona catamaran, pickup is usually between 7:00 and 9:15 am. The listing names these zones: Uvero Alto, Punta Cana, Bávaro Friusa, El Cortecito, Los Corales, Cabeza de Toro, Cap Cana and Bayahíbe. The provider contacts you to agree the time.
For Catalina, the local team picks you up from 7:00 am. The guide holds a sign that reads 'Isla Catalina with Jada Corales'. The listing suggests a hat or cap, a towel, beach shoes, sunscreen and a swimsuit.
2Saona beach tour: exceptions by hotel
The beach tour picks up between 7:30 and 9:00 am, and your guide confirms the exact time. Guests at Cortecito Inn or Punta Cana Princess are collected earlier, at 7:20 am.
At the Bahía Príncipe, Ocean El Faro and Meliá hotels, pickup is at the security barrier outside the complex, not at reception.
3The Chavón trip and hotels near La Romana
The Saona and Altos de Chavón trip picks you up at your hotel in Punta Cana or La Romana, as you specified when booking. The local company contacts you to confirm a time that depends on where the hotel is.
Pickup at hotels near La Romana Casa de Campo or Bahía Príncipe La Romana is not included and costs 70 USD per person. For every trip, be ready 10 minutes before the pickup time.
