The cruises compared here
It is the most booked boat trip on the Costa del Sol that we reviewed, and the cheapest. Whether it earns a slot depends on what you expect from it.
We read the Civitatis listing. Here is what it gives for the price.
1What you see from the water
The listing mentions the port architecture, including the Pompidou Centre, and the Malaga skyline as you move away from the coast. It also names the Gibralfaro castle and the Costa del Sol towns and beaches along the shoreline.
2How long it lasts and which options exist
The basic cruise lasts an hour. The sunset options last one hour in January, February (except the 14th), November and December, and 1.5 hours on 14 February and from March to October. There are versions with a glass of cava or a soft drink, with live music and with access to the boat nets.
Booking starts from 15 € for the basic cruise. The added options have their own price in the listing.
3When it suits you
If you have little time in the city, it fits in an hour and leaves from the port itself. Pets are allowed, there are fares for seniors over 65 and children aged 4 to 12, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
4When to skip it
Skip it if you want dolphins, a swim or a guide who tells you what you are seeing: the listing mentions an English-speaking crew, not commentary. In that case the trips from Puerto Banús or Estepona fit better.
