The cruises compared here
Neither trip sails from the harbour in Valencia: one is on the canals of the Albufera and the other on an underground river near Vall d'Uxó. Both have an English-language listing. Prices and scores are those on the listings on 29 October 2026.
They have the same score, 9.1, and very different prices.
1How you get there
The Albufera ride leaves from Carrer del Santíssim Crist de la Salut 17, in El Palmar, and you need to get there yourself, 10 minutes before the stated time. The San Jose Caves trip includes bus transport, with pickup at the Hotel NH Valencia Center, the Torres de Serranos or the Ciudad de Justicia, usually between 8:00 and 8:30 am, a journey of about an hour.
2What is included and what it costs
The Albufera ride costs from €5 and includes an English-speaking guide and a 45 minute boat ride. The San Jose Caves trip costs from €69 and includes the bus, an English-speaking guide who explains before and after the boat ride, and the boat trip in the caves; food and drinks are not included. Both cancel free up to 24 hours before.
3Which one to book
Book the Albufera ride if you want a cheap, short outing on the water. Book the San Jose Caves trip if you want a half day outside Valencia and do not mind an early pickup. Neither is a sea trip: for that, look at the catamaran rides.
