The cruise to check first
Portimão has two boarding areas for these trips, not one. The two 90-minute rides use Doca de São Francisco, apart from the sunrise departure, and the two 2.5-hour trips use kiosks at the marina, roughly 1.5 km away by the coordinates. Check which one your booking names before you set off.
The listings give no walking directions beyond what is quoted here, and nothing on parking or public transport. What they do give are arrival times and a warning that arriving late means no refund.
1Doca de São Francisco: 90-minute ride and sunset ride
The 90-minute speedboat ride and the sunset departure of the sunrise or sunset trip board at Doca de São Francisco in Portimão. The boarding gate is near the Convento de São Francisco. Arrive 15 minutes before the time you picked.
Do not expect more detail than that: these two listings do not name an operator or a booth.
2Porto Comercial access: sunrise ride
The sunrise departure meets at the access to the Porto Comercial de Portimão, 8500-512 Portimão, also 15 minutes early. It is a different place from the dock used for sunset, so read the meeting-point note when you choose the date and time.
Anyone booking a sunrise slot should note the address before the day.
3Marina de Portimão: kiosks 6 and 3
The dolphin-watching cruise meets at the 5emotionsalgarve office, kiosk 6. The kayak trip meets at SeaSiren Boat Tours, kiosk 3 on Avenida Rio Arade, 8500-311 Portimão. Both listings ask you to arrive 30 minutes early.
Being late is costly: the dolphin listing says you can be refused without a refund, and the kayak listing says late arrival gets no refund.
